Download: Faster stream and real-time progress feedback

Users want downloads to start immediately and show clear progress, so they always know what is happening and are not left waiting without any feedback during large or complex download operations. Problem / Pain: When downloading files, especially larger selections or files that require conversion, the system currently prepares everything in the background before the download starts. Users receive no visual feedback during this preparation time and have no way of knowing whether the process is running, has stalled, or has failed. This uncertainty leads to confusion, repeated download attempts, and occasionally failed downloads when preparation takes too long. Impact / Benefit: Streaming downloads would allow files to reach the user faster without waiting for the entire package to be prepared first. Combined with a clear progress indicator, users would always know the download is running. This would reduce confusion, prevent duplicate download attempts, and make large download operations significantly more reliable and predictable. Example use case: A DAM manager downloads a large selection of assets using a converting download profile. Today the interface shows nothing while the backend prepares the package, leaving them unsure whether anything is happening. With the new behavior, the download starts immediately and a progress indicator confirms it is running, giving them the confidence to step away and return when it is done.
