Faster and more stable downloads through improved connection handling
Users want downloads to complete faster and without blocking other activity in the system, so they can continue working without interruption while files are being transferred. Problem / Pain: Downloads can be noticeably slow, particularly in on-premise environments. Additionally, when multiple downloads run at the same time, the system can become unresponsive, preventing other actions such as searching or loading content from working as expected. Users are left waiting without a clear reason why the system has stopped responding. Impact / Benefit: Faster and more stable download handling would allow users to transfer files more quickly and continue working in the system without interruption. Searches, page loads, and other interactions would remain responsive even while downloads are running, making the overall experience significantly more reliable during high download activity. Example use case: A DAM manager triggers several downloads at once and notices the system becomes unresponsive. Searches no longer return results and content stops loading until the downloads finish. With improved connection handling, downloads would complete faster and other system activity would remain unaffected throughout.
