A flexible, interactive grid view for related records in the detail view
Users want to search, filter, sort, and customize the fields shown in subpanels directly from the interface, so they can work with related records efficiently without relying on admin configuration for every adjustment. Problem / Pain: Subpanels in the detail view are currently rigid and fully controlled by administrative configuration. Users cannot show or hide fields, sort by different columns, search within the panel, or filter the displayed records. When a subpanel contains many related records, finding a specific entry requires manually paging through results. Making any change to the layout requires administrative intervention, creating overhead for both admins and end users. Impact / Benefit: A flexible grid view would give users direct control over how related records are displayed and navigated. They could adapt the view to their current task, find records faster through search and filtering, and make small edits without leaving the detail view. This would reduce configuration overhead for admins and make everyday work with relational data significantly more efficient and intuitive. Example use case: A PIM manager opens a product record and sees a subpanel with hundreds of related variants. They need to find a specific variant quickly, adjust a value, and move on. With a flexible grid view, they search directly within the subpanel, find the record immediately, and edit the value inline without opening a separate detail view.
